“For Stephen King, life is too perfect for it to be a random occurrence,” reads the first line of this Huffington Post article describing a recent interview with the author.  King discussed his belief that the nature and structure of life on earth suggest that the world was built by an intelligent designer, a higher power who organized everything.

The interview seems like a continuation of King’s comments to NPR last year about his belief in God and what he thinks of atheism:

If you say, ‘Well, OK, I don’t believe in God, there’s no evidence of God,’ then you’re missing the stars in the sky and you’re missing the sunrises and sunsets and you’re missing the fact that bees pollinate all these crops and keep us alive and the way that everything seems to work together.
